Why do we like this?
Nostalgia is a sentiment that keeps a lot of us motivated and something that fuels a lot of musicians inspiration when creating music. Active Child's Patrick Grossi plays into this notion and has delivered various dedications in his archive of tracks from past to present. A couple days ago, he released an edit to a classic instrumental track by Tupac titled "Until the End of Time" and commented underneath with his purpose and visualization behind it:
Take a journey with Grossi back to yesteryear and groove to the sweet stylings of this brilliant remix.
"Randomly came across an instrumental of one of favorite posthumous 2Pac releases recently. It instantly transported me back to my high school days when I would make mixes for my commute to and from school. As I sat and reminisced I figured i'd drop the instrumental into ableton and have a sing over it. That sing slowly transformed into a rough song of sorts that I thought I'd share with you guys today. Not exactly original music, but something to listen to none the less."
