Active Child recently premiered his video for "Playing House" on Pitchfork, and to be honest, I wasn't a big fan of the video. It was directed by Isaac Ravishankara, who worked on videos for Freelance Whales' "Hannah" and Phantogram's "When I'm Small." So I guess I had high expectations. But it's really cheesy, and kinda boring.
It's unfortunate that the video is so meh considering that the song is great. Featuring How To Dress Well, "Playing House" has just enough of that R&B element that makes electronic music so damn sexy. Looks like Pat Grossi is heating things up with his new album, You Are All I See.
Active Child is currently supporting the new album with his first headlining tour in the United States. Having opened for the likes of School of Seven Bells, White Rabbits, and James Blake, fans will be treated on this tour to the first performances of Active Child as a full band.
