Why do we like this?
"Johnny Belinda" is definitely one of my favorite tracks off of Active Child's 2011 release You Are All I See, so naturally when I found this remix, I was explicitly inclined to feature it on the site.
Taken to a much more upbeat, danceable landscape, this rework by German DJ/Producer Robin Schulz caught me by surprise. When you hear Patrick Grossi's mesmerizing, ghostly falsetto incorporate a steady, fast-paced beat that automatically makes you want to cry and dance at the same time, the experience is otherworldly.
Right from the start you can feel your heartbeat sync to the pulsating tempo of the song, until that deep house rhythm chimes in and you are wrapped up in an atmosphere of delicate bass, cinematic instrumentals and phantasmal whimsy.
Oh, and P.S. -- it's up for grabs, so get it while it's hot!
