"If I Could Be Your Girl" is the last track from Brooklyn-based Canadian ACES' debut EP Stranger. Following on from first single "Baby, I Don't Mean To Ignore" and the downtempo "Stranger," this final release is another electro-pop winner.
A sparse yet hypnotic dream-pop composition, "If I Could Be Your Girl" highlights Alex Stewart's (aka ACES) gorgeous vocals, with the songs short length leaving you wanting more.
The artful film clip is a collaboration between Stewart and director Chelsy Mitchell that can best be described by the quote below:
"Utilizing colored filters as a way to abstract and dramatize the narrative, in the video, we watch as our leading lady (ACES herself) shifts between darkness and light within a French new wave-inspired party scene. She meets eyes with a potential love interest who will slowly attempt to transform her into a spitting image of the pink soaked mysterious ladies we see watching her from every angle."
