Why do we like this?
I'm a pretty big fan of indie rock with an americana twist, so when I was sent a copy of a new solo album by Abram Shook, it didn't take much convincing to have me listen. Good thing I did, because it turns out that Sun Marquee is a wonderful piece of work.
Today we're premiering the lead track "Coastal." It has a smooth, laid-back tropical vibe that finds roots in modern indie rock and americana -- perfect for a poolside listen.
Mixed by Danny Reisch (Midlake, White Denim) and Erik Wofford (Octopus Project, Black Angels), the high production quality evidenced on this single holds steady throughout the rest of the album. It's definitely one worth grabbing -- head over to Western Vinyl's website to grab your copy.
