Aaron Taos is still a relatively new artist, however, he is successfully proving that he has what it takes to eventually stand among the pantheon of alternative music greats such as How to Dress Well and Autre Ne Veut—just to name a few.
The track begins with a minimal drum beat accompanied by reverb-enveloped guitar motif that plays throughout the sultry tune. Moments later, the listener is greeted by the soft and hypnotic voice of the singer himself as he muses about someone who is emotionally unavailable. Aaron told 'The FADER' in an email interview:
"It's about wanting to be there for someone emotionally, but for whatever reason them not letting themselves be loved. It's about knowing deep down that something is wrong and this person needs/wants help, but them letting pride or confidence issues get in the way."
Apart from the soothing, falsetto singing and the slick production, the song's touching sense of humanity is what makes it so great. Its message is something we can all relate to—either as the one who is trying to help or the one who needs it.
