Harlem native A$AP Ferg is the latest member of New York hip-hop collective A$AP Mob to have a new album on the way. Ferg is currently putting the finishing touches on his mixtape Trap Lord. Due in August, it will be his first release since signing with RCA Records and Polo Grounds in January.
"Shabba" is the second track leaked from the album, featuring guest vocals from A$AP Mob ringleader A$AP Rocky. The track is a tribute to Jamaican dancehall great Shabba Ranks, and with a gritty trap beat and references to Bruce Lee, R Kelly and Liu Kang, it looks like Ferg won't be in the shadow of Rocky for too much longer.
