Why do we like this?
A Sol Mechanic. More like a Soul Mechanic. Forgive the pun, but this Los Angeles-based producer, whose past musical endeavors can best be grouped as experimental, has taken me to the church and shown me the light with "Etrnl Infnte." Every A Sol Mechanic track surprise me, but what he's done here is something special.
Building on a smooth drum and bass foundation, Sol layers in some beautiful church organs and bubbly synths that remind me of SBTRKT's latest release, "Surely." This track is light on its toes, but still packs a mighty punch. And just wait for the heartbeat.
A Sol Mechanic is always "experimenting with untouched ideas and new ways of producing" so be sure to check out his SoundCloud, where he drops off entrancing joints like "Etrnl Infnte" on the regular.
