A Beacon School Alone

To capture change is to capture what came before and what came after. A Beacon School's "Alone" is a song about the moment when one's luck changes.

New York-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Patrick J. Smith plays with the line 'oh all I want’s to feel like something’s taking,' by transforming it at the very end of the song to 'oh all at once I feel like something’s taking.' The entire journey from forlorn to hopeful is siezed and shared, and, in so doing, the mark of this artist has been made.

"Alone" will feature on A Beacon School's first full-length in five years, yoyo, which is said to be 'an untainted exploration of the unconscious artistic self and the oscillation of time.' yoyo will be released on October 13, 2023.
