Shhhhh...another mysterious producer from Melbourne!
Pip Norman isn't really a mystery; the producer (aka Countbounce) hasworked with a huge range of Australian artists over the years, including the likes of Gossling, Daniel Merriweather, and Dan Sultan. Now he's kicked off a new project called 5THS, andthe first single debuted a few days back.
5THS is a collaborative work, and on "Sell It To Me," Norman has enlisted the assistance of Australian artist Jarryd Klapper. The soulful, emotive track is a stunning first offering, and Klapper's echoing vocals could not be more perfectly selected. Measured percussion, drifting piano and the almost customary sax solo toward the end really make this a song pretty easy to fall in love with.
Keep an eye out for more from 5THS in the coming months, there's a promise of a debut EP on the way.
