Hailing from West London, newcomers Akelle, Haile, and Louis -- the rapping, singing, songwriting and producing trio better known as WSTRN -- have just signed to Atlantic and released their debut single "In2."
The track, which has pulled off a unique blend of melodic R&B/hip-hop sounds with an edgy pop appeal, will have you involuntarily tapping your foot and bobbing your head throughout!
Rapper and songwriter Akelle explains how it all came together: "from one evening session earlier this year ... we just all jammed together vocally and as artists so we knew this was something out of the ordinary. It was about remaining authentic and true to our roots but creating a fresh new sound."
People say two (three!) heads are better than one, and WSTRN are solid proof of that!
