Why do we like this?
How is it possible that everything Sydney's Future Classic label seems to touch turns to gold? From the label that brought us Flume, Chet Faker, Jagwar Ma, Panama, and more, they've now signed L.A.-based producer Simon James, or Woolfy.
"17" is packed full of instruments. It's an eight-minute multi-genre journey of punchy, melancholy, jazzy, and futuristic sounds. The thing I love is that it's so different to the other artists on the label, but has the same "wow" factor. It's unique, and seems like a bit of a bold move for Future Classic, but of course, it works.
Woolfy's 4-track City Lights EP has two original tracks and two remixes, and comes out on April 14.. In the meantime you can stream it via the Future Classic SoundCloud.
