I'll often listen to a song, really enjoy it, then get sick of it within a few listens and regret getting so excited about it.
If anything, Wallace's latest single "Beauty" has had the absolute opposite effect, and I find myself enjoying it even more than when I first checked it out last week.
The New Zealand-born, Sydney-based soul artist is a fresh face on the scene, having only released her debut single "Vinyl Skip" a few months back. Her new track is an absolute delight, showcasing the talent's smooth, absorbing vocals and clever songwriting, which suit the slinky arrangement to a T.
Sydney-based artist Sampa the Great's appearance toward the track's end rounds things out nicely, with one of the more interesting rap verses I've heard for some time.
While Wallace is still a newcomer, she's obviously not planning on disappearing any time soon -- and we'll be expecting much more from her in the coming months.
