Why do we like this?

Portent /ˈpôrˌtent/ (noun) - a sign or warning that something, especially something momentous or calamitous, is likely to happen.

"In the Rain" is rather momentous. It's a grade A mood changer that is likely to lull Mike Tyson out of blind rage -- that's if you can get the headphones on him without taking a right hook.

This track comes part of what is a very impressive Johannesburg-based compilation called Subterranean Wavelength Vol. 2. 

However, Vox Portent isn't news on my radar, he has been producing breathtaking work for sometime now and I'm glad to welcome him to the pages of Indie Shuffle.
