On my birthday in 2015, I discovered Venessa Michaels for the first time. Three days later, I moved across the country to her neck of the woods, Los Angeles, and now, just about three days ago, she was in my office spinning on the CDJs.
I knew what my opinion on this record was as soon as I heard the words "Really Like" blast through the speakers. The tune almost fuses sounds you'd expect from PC Music artists like A. G. Cook or Danny L. Harle and puts a bass house spin you may hear from someone like AC Slater if he was having a really happy day.
At the end of listening for the fifth time since then, I've decided to dedicate this tune to my love for Korean BBQ. I really, really like Korean BBQ, and honestly, VenessaMichaels is a close second.
