Why do we like this?

Ivan Zhyzhkevych -- professionally known as Tülpa -- has been a recurring artist on playlists and track reviews on Indie Shuffle. And if he keeps putting out tracks like this, I really doubt his popularity will wane anytime soon.

As a classically trained pianist, Ivan has managed to shine brightly above his predecessors and create his own style of chill, indie production. If I'm not mistaken, the majority of the piano on his tracks have been recorded, rather than using samples or a software instrument. The recordings have added a really nice organic warmth to his tunes, and made them stand out boldly.
