The legendary Philadelphian hip-hop collective The Roots return with the awesome new single, "When The People Cheer," taken from their much anticipated eleventh album, And Then You Shoot Your Cousin.
Set to be a concept album that satires the stereotypes portrayed in modern hip-hop, the album is sure to invoke much talk within the hip-hop community.
As for "When The People Cheer," this is a beautiful first single, featuring a striking piano line driving the beat, with Greg Porn and Black Thought dropping typically insightful and creative lyrics over the top.
And Then You Shoot Your Cousin is set for release May 13.
