With all of NGHTMRE's recent success, I figured it made sense to sit down with him for an interview.
Enjoy.
Can we have an in-depth analysis of what your favorite color is?
Umm, I'm going to have to say blue. Big fan of natural colors, and blue and reminds me of the ocean and the sky, which is relaxing.
Now that you're starting to travel and play more shows, what was the most vibrant tour experience you could share?Playing the first ever official Twonk Team this weekend was amazing. It was an absolutely packed event center with incredible lighting/production. Huge shoutout to Brillz and Carnage for inviting me to join in on that.
What do you think music does for people?
Music has that power to evoke emotions that you might not be able to with just words. It can take you back to a moment in time just like a picture or scent. When I was younger it helped me detach from work/school stress, and helped me relax during stressful times or tough situations.
What are the biggest goals you’ve tackled, and what’s on your to-do-list for the next few years?
Getting on the EDC Vegas lineup this year was a goal of mine. Last year I went with Derek and Scott from Slander as fans, and this year we get to both play!
Who are the best upcoming producers you follow?
I’m a HUGE fan of all the Soulection and HW&W producers – it's the music I usually listen to day-to-day. Guys like J-Louis, Sam Gellaitry, Gravez, PYRMDPLAZA, Fortune, Mr. Carmack, and IAMNOBODI are all so good.
I also love all my dudes in LA who are killing the house/bass music game like Jauz, Ghastly, Ephwurd and Nightowls.
Everyone down in Australia/New Zealand is killing it, too. Really love everything that Alison Wonderland, Wave Racer, Slumberjack, and Quix are doing!
Cant forget Mark Johns either. Still haven’t heard a track of hers that i’m not in love with.
