Last year Jason reviewed "Lay Me Down" by The Oh Hello's, and it's time to add one more track by the blood-bound duo, Maggie and Tyler Heath.
The story goes that the pair wrote a song for their mom's birthday and then decided to gift the rest of the world with their seductive folk rock. Lets hope they don't have other siblings, because that's a difficult present to top.
This restless acoustic track is remarkable, and I'm not usually a big fan of that Mumford & Sons-feel. In their first full-length album, Through the Deep, Dark Valley, the Heaths layer their gentle voices against an accordion, banjo, cello, and viola. Additionally, "The Lament of Eustace Scrubb" includes a delicious amount of stomping and hand clapping.
All you need to enjoy this track is an open road shaded by trees and a quiet heart sitting shotgun. The Oh Hello's will fill in all the spaces.
