Why do we like this?

The Incomparable Shakespeare pays homage to the soundtrack of his youth -- 90's hip-hop -- with a cover of Nas' classic "The World Is Yours." With timely references and clever flips on the original's cadence and street analogies, Shake proves that he's a devoted student of the culture. 

Nah Right and Upnorth Trips's #Illmatic20 tribute mixtape features hella folks reinterpreting Illmatic joints in spirit and form, but Shakespeare proves to be one of the most fitting.

Tributes can be tiresome, but this is the kind of effort that can put a smile on even the most stringent snob. Kudos!
