Why do we like this?

As many of you may already know, The Decemberists are gearing up to release a new album -- their first since 2011's The King Is Dead.

"Lake Song" is the second single to be released off the album, following last month's "Make You Better." It's a slow-burning folk rock ballad that sounds a whole lot like prior work from the band. For many fans, I'm pretty sure that'll be a welcome sound, though it may leave others longing for something a bit more "fresh." Personally, I'm not entirely sure where I stand.
