I don't know about you, but everything I do with my iPhone is pretty standard. The regular calling, texting, time wasting with games, listening to music with the Indie Shuffle app. Thankfully Marc Cantone has a much more creative touch with his iPhone. Using his phone and GarageBand, he managed to track much of the super fun indie pop jam "17."
Filled with plenty of warm layers and some groovy bass that just won't quit, The City and Horses put together a funky little trip back in time to kick off their newest studio effort, Strange Range. My favorite part of the track is the hilarious lyrics that focus on the awkwardness and ridiculousness of growing up.
And if you think the lyrics are great, you have to check out the 70s-inspired music video, featuring Marc in some killer aviators and short shorts poking a little fun at himself, premiering right here on Indie Shuffle.
If you enjoy the track, make sure to make your way over to the Paper Garden Records page so you can download the awkward gloriousness of Strange Range all for yourself.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: there's a resurgence of folksy, psychedelic music taking place right now, and I damned well like it. From Tame Impala to Telekinesis, these bands are forging ahead with a simple, but easily approachable sou...
