Why do we like this?
Patrick Watson's releases are perhaps some of my favorite folk / orchestral albums to date. The man has a remarkable talent, not unlike Andrew Bird and/or Rufus Wainwright.
Still, one of his crowning moments was not on his own work, but when he joined The Cinematic Orchestra for this masterpiece: "To Build A Home." For me, it stands as one of the most beautiful tracks on the internet, albeit slow and painfully poignant.
While I apologize if you find this to be a downer of a SOTD, I'm hoping that it makes you feel more warm and fuzzy than depressed :)
