Why do we like this?
Sometimes you need some filthy rap to clean your palate.
The Kansas City rapper Tech N9ne, aka. Aaron Dontez Yates, has been around the block a few times, and he is gearing up to go around it again to deliver his thirteenth studio album, Something Else. The album is split up into three parts -- Earth, Wind, & Fire, which features various artists like The Game, Cee Lo Green, B.O.B., Kendrick Lamar, The Doors, T-Pain, and Wiz Khalifa, just to scratch the surface.
While I can't say that I have exactly been up to date with much of Tech N9ne's recent work, I can say that after hearing the track "So Dope," I will surely be spending some time catching up. "So Dope" starts off with innocent choir organs and quickly escalates with some nasty flows delivered at a rate so fast that it makes the starship enterprise at warp speed seem slow. And if you think other three artists on the track are just there to sing back-up vocals, you're wrong -- these guys lay down the flow just as fast as Tech N9ne.
Something Else is slated to be released on July 30, 2013 on Tech N9ne's own label Strange Music.
