Why do we like this?
Tall Black Guy has been quietly bubbling under the radar with an impressive array of remixes and original material. Recently, TBG caught the attention of tastemakers like Gilles Peterson, DJ Lefto and others.
The Detroit producer has a clever ear for samples and ways to flip them; his production has elements of jazz and soul while still having that head-nod factor. The independent label Bastard Jazz recently released Tempo Dreams Vol. 1, a compilation curated by Tall Black Guy that features mostly unknown talent from all over. The 12-track album is out now and features a track by TBG as well, "Sparkling Adventure," that we are streaming here.
It seems that this producer is not only adept at creating sound, but that he can also spot other talent just as well.
