Why do we like this?

The ethereal yet soulful sounds of Szjerdene never fail to draw me in, and with her new single "Faded," a precursor to her Paragon EP dropping in October, it is no different.

Her haunting lyrics, melodies and Little Dragon-inspired vocal licks, alongside grimy synths and xylophone sounds, create a dreamlike soundscape, ebbing and flowing with a mix of both industrial and natural sounds. Co-produced with Full Crate, there is an interesting energy as the song progresses, despite the relative downtempo nature of it.

The Londoner, now residing in Amsterdam, has had a slew of accolades to her name, most notably singing on, and touring Bonobo's 2013 album The North Borders. Be sure to listen to her last single, Find Me, which is equally great.
