At a SXSW unofficial showcase Monday night, there was a nice little sign that said, "You should be able to sell your art without selling your soul." Well, forget about it, because SXSW is ALL about selling your soul.
There's keynote speaker Lady Gaga, more than 2,000 official bands, more than 20,000 registrants, and who knows how many more unofficial musicians swarming into town, so artists have to do what they have to do to get noticed.
