I can't say I'm the hugest fan of Still Corners' full body of work, but "The Trip" happens to stand out as one of the clear winners.
To be fair, it didn't come to my attention until yesterday, when a good friend of mine suggested I give the song a listen. While the vocals are a touch wobbly, the general guitar work and laid-back vibe had little trouble winning me over.
You'll find the song as the opening track to the band's LP Strange Pleasures, available via Sub Pop.
