Why do we like this?
Clocking in at eight and half minutes, this is the longest track I've ever saw fit to blog about, but it's definitely worth the effort.
On St. Germain's "So Flute," you get some of the coolest music you've ever heard -- housey beats underneath some beautiful acid jazz, including one of the best uses of a flute, ever.
St. Germain is the chosen moniker of French producer Ludovic Navarre. Under the name, he is responsible for some of the 21st century's most important jazz music. You'll almost definitely know his tracks, but you may well not know him.
Although this is my first experience of his music, Tourist, the album this track comes from, originates back from 2001. Take a listen and you'll soon come across tracks you've heard all over on the TV, and in shops, clubs, and bars.
