Even though I have finally cooled down from the blistering heat of the desert, and managed to get my wristband off, I'm still thinking about the amazing artists that played at Coachella 2012. As luck would have it, those same Coachella artists were featured on Season 2 of The O.C.. I know what you're thinking. Didn't Season 2 of The O.C. air way back in 2004, and Coachella just happened a few weekends ago? You would be correct, but this year's Coachella really showcased some great talent that's been around for years -- bands that you might have taken for granted if you haven't listened to them in a while. Two of these bands are Kasabian and the Kaiser Chiefs.  Not only can these two bands be found close together in your iTunes library, but they  both really encompass where indie rock was at 8 years ago.  Not to mention the fact that they both still make you want to move. Coachella also featured some artists who have been around for some time, but have really taken off in the last few years. Featured in this category are Feist and The Black Keys. Who would have thought two guys playing blues music would have been headlining Coachella when their song "10 AM Automatic" came out on Rubber Factory way back in 2004? Or that Feist would have seen the success that she has seen? As for Sia, I do realize that she was not on the bill, but she did make a guest appearance in the Sahara Tent with David Guetta. Collaborations must be her thing, since "The Bully" was co-written with Beck. Some people just make those around them even better. Given the fact that five artists featured at Coachella this year were also featured on The O.C. Season 2 Soundtrack I have to say... its music producers were way ahead of their time. Also be sure to check out the Season 1 Soundtrack here!
