Barcelona is a hotbed for music festivals this time of year. Last month there was Primavera Sound, and this month comes the amazing Sónar Music Festival, now enjoying it's 20th year.
For those of you who are only just learning about the festival, it bills itself as a pioneer of all things related to the electronic music scene -- both audio and visual. The events itself are divided between two main locations:
Sónar by Day (in Fira Montjuïc) with concerts, showcases and an area for professionals, the essence of which is discovering and tracking new talent; and the larger shows at Sónar by Night, in Fira Gran Via de L
