Why do we like this?
Halloween isn't a big holiday back here in Australia, but I thought I'd join in the celebration by contributing this little masterpiece by Sleeping At Last. Under that moniker, Chicago's Ryan O'Neal has released his latest single, "Masquerade," just in time for the holiday. You may recognize the artist name from the popular single "Turning Page," made famous by the Twilight series (I swear I haven't watched Twilight!).
Now it's not a scary song by any means; in fact it's quite the opposite. It's basically a Halloween-themed love song -- but it really is quite a beautiful bit of songwriting, featuring Ryan's truly amazing vocals. It is backed with the most delicate guitar work and will no doubt leave you with a rich feeling of enchantment and illusion.
Needless to say, this would be a great song to end a night of Halloween partying.
