Why do we like this?

Sidewalk Kal is heating up. The Chicago MC rose from the cacophony that is my SoundCloud stream one day with a powerful and rugged proclamation of "Kal The God." He touches a similar nerve while showcasing his versatility with "Thousand Arrows."

The Tuamie-produced joint wastes no time in burrowing itself in your ear. The beat is buoyant, with a healthy balance of post-Dilla slop and golden-age head nod. Kal plays his part and delivers an extended verse in a more monotone delivery than some of the high-energy flows he's chosen in the past.

It works and it works well; he references Rah Digga, c'mon! Keep your eye on young Kal.
