Why do we like this?
Shermanology originally took off back in 2011 working with the likes of Avicii and Afrojak. Andy and Dorothy (aka Shermanology) began to feel limited by the world of EDM as it took a key element of their music: soul.
A few years on, and it seems they've finally recovered their roots. "Sweet Surrender" is a perfect blend of soul, jazz, funk, and house, and is genuinely the most happy and uplifting track I've heard in ages.
Dorothy's powerful and passionate vocals roll effortlessly throughout, and the ridiculously catchy hook is complimented by some carefree keys. I can't stop hitting replay.
