After losing myself in Seratones' rockin' debut album Get Gone, I keep fantasizing about a night where I finish a massive, messy, bib-around-the-neck feast consisting of some homemade BBQ shrimp and a healthy hunk of French bread in the band's hometown of Shreveport before seeing them absolutely blow the roof off of a local stage. The song stuck in my head each time is "Chandelier," track four of their brand new eleven-song collection.
Slapping drums, jaunting bass lines, and crisp lead guitar all work to complement the gospel-trained power of lead vocalist AJ Haynes, who has this to say about the track:
"Curtis Mayfield’s ‘Superfly’ and Bast inspired ‘Chandelier’. This was another song that really wrote itself. It’s so fun to play! It definitely has some undeniable swag. Connor’s guitar parts in the song immediately reminded me of a prism light fixture shaking around, thus inspiring the 'shake like a chandelier' line."
