Why do we like this?

Next month marks a year since Scuba's legendary Sub:Stance night at the Berghain in Berlin was retired.

To celebrate, Scuba's Hotflush label released a compilation, entitled Sub:Stance 072008 072013, featuring some of the best artists to have graced the night.

The night was important in introducing dubstep into Berlin, but
"August," one of its highlights, injects a burst of color into the techno traditional.

Leaning on a motif drawn straight from the late 80s, its very much in the vein of some of two other Scuba favorites, "July" and "Ne1butu."
