Why do we like this?
SBTRKT's eponymous debut album has spawned numerous remixes from artists big and small, and that continues with this white label release featuring remixes from UK heavyweights Lil Silva and Braiden.
Both tracks offer an interesting alternate on the originals, but it's the Lil Silva remix which really caught our attention. On the grimier side of UK funky, the smoother original "Living Like I Do" is injected with furious bass stabs. As Sampha sings "the tension builds" it does just that, reaching an almighty crescendo, turning what was once a relatively placid creature into a fireball of dancefloor energy.
