Why do we like this?
More sounds from the Los Angeles scene, this time Sango featuring JMSN. It's a match made in heaven: those drums plus that airy voice is pretty superb. They pair so well together, like wine and cheese. Mellow, yet rich.
This track is off Sango's new album, North, which is already acquiring lots of love on the blogosphere. Complex Magazine called this track a "smooth jam goes straight to the heart." The whole album's a mix of soul, R&B, future bass and hip hop. You can't go wrong with these groovy beats.
If you dig this, you'll love his other tracks, like "Here With Me" or the Ta-ku collaboration "Until Saturday." Everything's a bit different; for example, that Ta-ku track is much more broken beat/future bass style than soul. The album is available to stream via Soulection's Bandcamp -- my personal favorite is the last track, "Wake Up, Soul," featuring DPAT.
