Sandmoon is the brainchild of Beirut's Sandra Arslanian, who writes and provides vocals for the eclectic project. She's just released a brand new EP entitled In The End, which features five tracks that pull influences from an eclectic array of genres.
The thoughtful project is characterized by sophisticated orchestration and folk-infused songwriting. "Time Has Yet To Come" features Middle-Eastern inspired elements supporting Arslanian's sweetly quavering voice.
Conscious of how visual accompaniments can change or enhance the meaning of a composition, Sandmoon has collaborated with deaf expressionist dancer Pierre Geagea for the msuic video. The images are purposely nebulous- an artistic choice to emulate the dancer's impaired sense of hearing.
The EP also contains a musical interpretation of Emily Frye's poem "Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep"- a beautiful rendition for poetry enthusiasts and music lovers alike.
