It's pretty difficult not to use the word "seductive" when talking about something that's self-described as "witchy chamber folk." Especially when it's originated from the spooky-sounding town of Olympia, and there's an intelligent wandering woman behind the project.
I'm talking about Ruby Fray (aka Emily Beanblossom), who just recently put out her sophomore album on K-Records. It's not as "witchy" as something like Holy Other (maybe because she moved to BBQ-loving Austin), but it definitely gives off what Stereogum referred to as Nancy Sinatra noir vibes.
