Ras_G Let G Know... (Keep It A Billion)

Emerging from a thick cloud of Backwood smoke, Ras_G celebrates his upcoming arrival day (birth day for you earthlings) with the release of Down 2 Earth Vol. 2. A collection of mellow boom-bap tracks that harken back to G's younger days collecting Pete Rock cassingles, this offering is much more grounded than some of his more astrally curious work, hence the title. 

"Let G Know" is one of the sweeter joints on this collection. For the mundane and pedestrian who may see only rote convention in his approach, G takes something that's truly been driven into the ground by lesser tuned producers, the gentle voice of Detroit's late great baby gurl, and finds just the right touch to fill it with new life.
