Why do we like this?

I didn't know who Pegboard Nerds were a few weeks ago. The duo, have like a million fans between SoundCloud, Facebook, and all the rest. So clearly they haven't suffered for my ignorance.

A duo I'm a bit more in tune with is Syence, a couple of California dudes who got my attention big time when they approached me with their debut single "Zones." Today we're premiering their shimmering remix of "Downhearted." I could take or leave the vocals. The instrumental is spacious and playful, and I need more of it right away.
