Why do we like this?

Melbourne-based folk artist Packwood is releasing his debut album a little differently than most. Collectively, his debut album (called Vertumnus) is divided into four seasonal EP sections, where each new section is released on the first day of a new season. This track, "Obstinate," is the lead single from the second EP, Hibernal.

The connections with creation and nature are evident in Packwood's stage name, and they come to life when you listen to his music. "Obstinate" is earthy, intimate, and filled with orchestral arrangements and choral undertones.

Inspiration for his music is drawn from one's relationship with the outdoors. Unsurprisingly, Packwood spent time among some very pretty parts of the world when creating his album, including the Redwood forests of California and tiny shacks along the Australian coastline.

Hibernal is available for purchase now via this link.
