Why do we like this?
If you're looking for true old-school soul music, Louisville's Otis Junior is your man. Junior, who released his first full length album in April, is deserving of a ton of recognition. His album, top to bottom, is overflowing with talent yet is far too obscure.
This track which boasts jazzy piano, psychedelic guitar riffs and quick drum beat is absolutely stellar. "Me & Me" highlights Junior's comforting and somehow familiar voice with every bit of soul that you can handle.
It's hard not to fall in love with Junior's style on the debut album,1Moment2Another, too. I highly recommend putting the album in your queue, or better yet, snagging a vinyl, and listen to it from beginning to end. It will not disappoint.
