Odd, curious, and novel, Option 4's banger by way of a meme "Rise of the Cat Lord" demonstrates left-field house music at its finest.
Option 4 has always been a DJ and producer who relishes in the strange and unusual: consistently betting against the normalcy in mainstream dance music has always been his modus operandi. To his credit, it's always paid off. Now, with an album on the horizon, he has shared "Rise of the Cat Lord."
His new track, which is paired with an off-beat graphic novel of the same name, goes into the outlandish terrain in tech house joining other oddball talents like Claude VonStroke and Eats Everything in keeping things crazy and keeping things tight. Almost hypnotic, "Rise of the Cat Lord" calls into question our sanity as the beat drives us into banger mode: must sweat; must jack; must fist pump until arms give out.
At the end of the day, though, doesn't that make our descent into lunacy worth it? Going so hard in the club that we claim to call ourselves the rulers of our feline brothers and sisters?
