Why do we like this?

"Cold Light" is the latest release from Operators, the Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs, Divine Fits) fronted trio.

Joined by New Bomb Turks and Divine Fits drummer Sam Brown and electro-wiz Devojka, the three have announced the release of their debut album Blue Wave, set for an April 1 release. 

As the album's first single, "Cold Light" embraces the blunt post-punk sounds of Wire and Joy Division while incorporating the upbeat electronic soundscapes of New Order's biggest hits. It's this melding between digital and organic soundscapes that makes "Cold Light" a joy to the ears.

Blue Wave is set for release April 1.
