Why do we like this?

Believe you me, I'm just as surprised to hear a new song from of Montreal that *doesn't* get incredibly weird.

In fact, "Empyrean Abattoir" is enjoyable as a standalone -- possibly even approachable by the uninitiated listener.

"Empyrean Abattoir" will appear on the band's umpteenth album Aureate Gloom, due for release on March 3rd, 2015.
