Why do we like this?

Freedom Fry is a Los Angeles-based French/American indie rock band that has just come to my attention via this catchy cover of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Starting as a concept cover during their SXSW set this year, and thereafter getting traction from fans, Freedom Fry decided to make it official and record it.  The fact that this Nirvana cover works with a jangly-reggae-pop vibe is beyond me, but I like it.
