In 2011, Montreal-based singer/multi-instrumentalist Little Scream debuted her first studio album, The Golden Record. Recognized with a Polaris Music Prize nomination, the 10-track record embodied collaborations with Silver Mt. Zion’s Rebecca Foon, Richard Reed Perry and Sara Neufeld of Arcade Fire, Michael Feuerstack, and The Naitonal’s Aaron Dessner. Now in 2016, Little Scream (Laurel Sprengelemeyer) is gearing up to release her sophomore album, and its expected to include a similar artist-packed list of features.

Cult Following is set to release May 6th through Dine Alone and Merge Records. The second LP, which Sprengelmeyer notes to be a “crazy beast”, holds 12 new tracks and has enlisted the help of an impressively wide range of artists. Fans can expect features from the talents of returning guest Aaron Dessner, as well as new collaborators: Sufjan Stevens, Bryce Dessner (The National), Sharon Van Etten, Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire), Mary Margaret O’Hara, and Kyp Malone (TV on the Radio). Richard Parry, who also co-produced The Golden Record, has returned as a “creative partner”.

Although Little Scream hasn't shared the specific details on which song(s) each artist is featured on, the full track-list is available:

1. Welcome to the Brain
2. Love as a Weapon
3. Dark Dance
4. Introduction to Evan
5. Evan
6. Aftermath
7. The Kissing
8. Wishing Well
9. Wreckage
10. Someone Will Notice
11. Silent Moon
12. Goodbye Every Body

Back in February, Little Beast also gave a preview of the new album with its first single “Love is a Weapon”. Sprengelmeyer reveals to have explored new areas of pop for the track, stating: "I was thinking of classic pop songs, how a good one can lift you out of a fog like nothing else. This is a song of rebellious joy, for dancing and crying and starting over, again and again.”

Along with Cult Following's recently revealed details, the official music video for "Love is a Weapon" was also released. It was directed by Dan Huiting, who also worked with The Tallest Man on Earth’s Kristian Matsson for A Short Film About Dark Bird is Home.
