Why do we like this?

Los Angeles-based band Neil Frances began writing pop music for female vocalists in early 2016. Quickly realising their preference for the raw, original versions of their demos, they set out to record an album. “Dumb Love” is the first single from their plethora of new material set to be released throughout 2017.

The pop sensibilities are evident in “Dumb Love,” with the lead falsetto producing a memorable melody that glides over the dusty drums and hollow electric bassline. Although the tracks pop structure leaves you wanting a little more, it does hold your attention, slowly building and filling the space left by intricate vocal harmonies. Definitely keep an eye on Neil Frances with more to come in 2017.
